Es kristallisiert im monoklinen Kristallsystem mit der vereinfachten chemischen Zusammensetzung Na3[AlF6][2] und entwickelt entweder pseudokubische Kristalle oder massige Aggregate in weißer, brauner, grauer, braun-schwarzer oder rötlicher Farbe.
