AcrossBarriers/HARKE Pharma will not only describe the problems with exact data, but will also offer solutions: The solubility of substances can be manipulated by modern means and drug permeation through several biological barriers can be enhanced; e.g. sugar esters are a promising class of excipients that - on the one hand - increase the solubility of subsances and on the other inhibit secretion mechanisms which could block absorption ("P-gp interations").
